you,” scowled Mr. Umpire.
“Parker never threw the popcorn at you, Mr. Umpire, he was throwing them into his mouth like this,” chimed in Eddie, mimicking how Parker was eating the popcorn. “Thank you for looking out for your friend, Eddie,” cheered Mr. Umpire, “And to the students who were throwing the popcorn, I am very disappointed. We are here to dance and play, but throwing popcorn is not a good way to have fun.”
“We’re sorry Mr. Umpire!” said the front-row students in unison.
“Now that we have paused the popcorn, let’s get back to dancing,” celebrated Mr. Umpire. Parker, Eddie, and the other students listened to the rest of the dance lesson from Mr. Umpire, without any more popcorn being thrown.
As the class ended, Parker got up out of his seat and turned to Eddie, “Thank you for being such a good friend and teaching me a valuable lesson about peer pressure. I had fun learning from Mr. Umpire and I still got to eat popcorn!” The semester finished without any more popcorn being thrown and all of the students, including Parker, learned how to be even better dancers. Parker is so excited to show off his new moves in the 2023 season! Now it’s time to get up and dance! Go Grizzlies!
