“Here, take some of mine,” replied the kid as he gave Parker a handful.

The bear grabbed a couple of pieces in his paws and started the motion of throwing. “Wait! Parker, what are you about to do?” questioned Eddie as he grabbed Parker’s arm.

“I just want to try and fit in!” whispered the bear.

“Just because the other kids threw the popcorn doesn’t mean you have to be pressured into copying them,” Eddie reminded him.

The other kids continued to laugh and throw popcorn as Parker looked at

Eddie and asked, “But it really seems like the cool thing to do?”

“It isn’t!” Eddie replied, “Just because other people are doing it doesn’t mean you have to. Instead of throwing the popcorn, try tossing it into your mouth. That seems like more fun, less of a mess, and you get a snack!” Parker decided to listen to his friend Eddie and tossed a handful of popcorn into his mouth.

“Wow, this is really good! You were totally right, Eddie,” Parker said proudly.

One final piece of popcorn hit Mr. Umpire who spun around and asked, “Who is throwing popcorn?” Mr. Umpire looked at Parker right as he was going to grab another handful of his new, tasty, snack.

“Parker, I can’t believe you were throwing popcorn at me. I am very disappointed in
